Speaking

A speaker who's still in the job.

Keynotes, whole-staff professional development (PD/CPD) and leadership briefings on AI in schools, from someone leading this work inside a school right now. Practical, evidence-led, and built so your people can use it the next morning.

400+ teachers trained in practical AI across schools in Thailand, Australia and the UK, plus an online community 40 deputy principals led on practical AI (ISER DP Conference, 2023 & 2025) EDUtech Asia 2026 speaker, Singapore ~100 teachers in one whole-staff session

The talks

Three sessions, all road-tested.

Every talk comes from work actually delivered in real schools, including my own. Each can run as a keynote, a workshop, or both.

Where is your school, actually, with AI?

Leadership teams, boards, heads of school

The evidence-first leadership talk. Why AI in schools is a sequencing problem rather than a technology problem, what a four-group baseline reveals that intuition misses, and the five steps in the order that actually works. Leaders leave with the self-assessment scale and a clear picture of their own next step.

The takeaway: The AI Readiness Scorecard, on paper, for the whole room.

Create, don’t just consume

Whole staff, teachers, conference audiences

The hands-on session. What changes when teachers and students stop just prompting AI and start building with it: real tools, made by educators, that solve the problems in their own classrooms. Built from the work I run inside my own school every week, including what flopped.

The takeaway: A tool every attendee has started building before they leave the room.

Too many tools, not enough time

Time-poor staff, technology teams, leadership

The capacity talk. Most schools aren't unwilling, they're under-resourced: nobody has the hours to review every tool, every claim, every release. A practical way to stop drowning in tool-by-tool decisions, and to put the capacity you do have on the step that matters.

The takeaway: A decision framework the school can run without an AI specialist on staff.

Formats

How schools and conferences book it

Conference keynote or session

AI-specific and education-sector conferences. EDUtech Asia 2026 (Singapore) confirmed.

Whole-staff PD session

Hands-on, on your INSET day, PD day or twilight. The brief is always the same: nobody leaves with theory.

Leadership team briefing

A focused session for your SLT or board: where schools actually are with AI, and the sequence that works.

"Vaughn has the AI education revolution in hand with some outstanding strategies and no BS. Highly recommend his approach."

Why it lands

No hype, no doom, nothing your staff can't use.

I'm a Director of Technology at an IB World School and a former deputy principal, so the session is built by someone who still carries a school's realities: the safeguarding questions, the staff who are nervous, the board that wants answers. The test for every session is the same one I use with my own staff: can they use it tomorrow? One teacher's written feedback after a whole-staff session said exactly that.

Sessions are tailored to your context, not recycled. Tell me the room, the time, and what your people are carrying, and I'll shape it to that.

If we met at a conference

Just seen me speak? Here's the next step.

The talk is the short version. I work with schools directly: baselines, staff PD and a year-long partnership, alongside the work I lead inside my own school. If something in the session sounded like your school, the quickest way to test it is a conversation. If you'd rather start on paper, the scorecard takes two minutes.
